accommodations to persons who fall under the ADA (American's With Disabilities Act). The

disclose reasonable accommodations provided to recipients. The Company is acting for
legitimate business reasons and is in compliance with federal law. Employees can refer to

Types of Employment
Each employee will be in one of the following
categories,
Full Time -Full time employees are those hired for a continuing, regular work assignment at an hourly rate or weekly salaried compensation. To qualify to be full time, an employee must be hired to work more than thirty hours per week.
Part Time -Part time employees are those hired for other than specific short- term work or those who are hired to work less than thirty hours per week. Part time employees are not eligible for benefits other than workers' compensation and the Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
Seasonal -Seasonal employees are hired for a specific short-term work assignment or for a short period less than six months (e.g., summer hire).
Seasonal employees are paid an hourly rate. Seasonal employees are not eligible for benefits other than workers' compensation and the EAP. (Seasonal employees do not include people brought in through temporary agencies. "Temps" from agencies are not employees of Action Rental.)
A change in an individual's employment category and eligibility for benefits can occur. If a part-time employee works greater than thirty hours per week for a significant period such that their annual average weekly hours are expected to exceed thirty hours per week, that person may be reclassified as full time. A seasonal employee may be asked to continue employment beyond the initial short period and may therefore be reclassified full time or part time as appropriate. If you think you should be reclassified, you should ask your supervisor.
Employment of Minors
The minimum age for employment of minors is 14 years. A
minor shall not be employed until the minor procures a copy of a 1) work permit, or a
written training agreement between the Company and the school the minor attends, OR proof
of: 2) emancipation, 3) completion of graduation for minors 16-17 year old, or 4) proof of
passing the G.E.D. for 17 year old minors.
A minor shall not be employed unless the Company or an employee of the Company who is 18 years of age or older provides supervision.
Minors shall not be employed for more than 6 days in a week, nor for a period longer than a weekly average of 8 hours per day or 48 hours in 1 week, 48 hours school and work combined when school is in session, nor for more than 10 hours in a day.
Work Schedule
If you are hired as a full-time employee, you will be
scheduled for a minimum of forty hours per week. Schedules are posted at least weeks
in advance. If you are hired with the understanding that you will simultaneously be doing
other things, such as attending school, and you may be working fewer than forty hours per
week, the forty-hour minimum does not apply. Because the store is open seven days
per week, you could expect to work frequent weekends.
